MR620 Roadheader offers opportunity for improvement of drift driving efficiency

This paper presents a roadheader of 600 series suitable for mining of rocks of UCS of up-to 140 MPa. In addition, optio-

nal equipment for the roadheader, in particular bolting equipment, is discussed. Impact of changes in technology of

gangway driving on daily advance rate is discussed on the basis of simulations.

„Lubin” mine experiences in driving heading excavations with Sandvik Mining and Con-

        struction’s MH-620 heading machine

The experiences gained during the drive of heading excavations with Sandvik’s MH-620 in two entirely different areas

of “Lubin” mine are shown in the article. The influence of imperfect construction of the machine on the heading drive

        process has also been highlighted.

Construction and Maintenance of Longwall Galleries for Plough Longwalls in the

Mine of Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A.

The article discusses the determinants associated with the selection of the support system for longwall galleries for

longwalls mined with the plough technique. It contains an overview of the different alternative solutions analysed and

the solution employed in the mine of Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A. in the case of the first plough longwall 1/VI/385,

located in seam 385/2 in Nadrybie field. It presents further works undertaken to improve the support system frames for

the second longwall equipped with the first plough system (longwall 7/VII/385) located in the same seam in Stefanów,

but smaller in thickness (1.2-1.5 m).
