Shaft. 2.2 reachesits target depth of 1 018 m.

Concrete cork was made at the bottom of shaft 2.2 therefore final-
izing its construction.
02.1988
Ministry Council resolution no. 34/88 concerning cessation of con-
struction of K-2 mine in Stefanow. Shaft 2.1 reached the depth of
the main level at 990 m at the moment of construction hold-up.
02.1989
Shafts in Stefanow were flooded after water broke into a heading
combining the shafts at the depth of 540 m.
11.1989
insulation and protection works were finished in shafts 2.1 and
2.2 and the shafts were technologically flooded.
03.1993
Estates of the liquidated K-2 mine in Stefanow were transferred to
Coal Mine „Bogdanka”.
02.1997
Development of a document called „The programme for the mine
functioning during the period 1997-2006” which assumed reach-
ing gross production capability of 36000 tonnes/day through the
use of the shafts in Stefanow.
11.1999
The Board’s decision to acitvize the shafts in Stefanow through
the construction of a third field in „Bogdanka” mine.
05.2000
An agreement with Jastrzębska SpółkaWęglowa S.A. - „Morcinek”
mine to acquire a hoisting machine, a shaft tower and an emer-
gency hoist for Stefanow field.
10.2000
Southern heading driven in seam 385/2 – opening the possibil-
ity to start underground mining works towards the shafts in Ste-
fanow.
11.2000
Beginning of driving mining excavations at the main level 990 m
in Stefanow.
10.2001
Beginning of earth works at the construction of hoisting machine
building at shaft 2.2.
09.2004
finalizing the tender procedurę for the construction works in Ste-
fanow. A consortium was formed by Shaft Constrution Company
(PBSz) from Bytom and Specialized Works Company “East”
(PRS) from Lublin.
09.2004
Beginning of works in shaft 2.2 to drain and clear the shaft after
15 years since its flooding.
01.2005
Performing draining hole from 990 m level and beginning of shaft
2.2 drainage. Subsequent clearing of the shaft.
07.2005
Finalizing the clearing of shaft 2.2 in Stefanow and reaching its
bottom by the teams from PBSz and PRS „East”.
09.2005
Shaft 2.2 is connected with shaft bottom excavation sat the main-
level 990 m.

Beginning of final reinforcements in shaft 2.2.

Beginning of works in shaft 2.1 in Stefanow to clear it and con-
tinue its construction.
The Board develops and accepts „Strategy of Lubelski Węgiel
„Bogdanka” S.A. development in the period 2006-2014 basing
on the development of Stefanow Field”.
